Ecolabel

Because we genuinely care for the environment, RECA is continually developing products combining not only high performance but also respect for both the environment and the painter’s health.

In order to reduce the V.O.C rate (Volatile Organic Components), RECA is offering an extensive and innovating product line certified Ecolabel: the Aquarel product line.

RECA lets you choose between a palette of water based interior (matte, satin, velour) and exterior (for facades) paints that will meet your tightest demands.

With RECA’s new coloring machine, you are free to create all types of paints using infinity of tints, for both our interior and exterior product lines.

RECA’s coloring machine complies with the most recent norm for air quality and our product are VOC free :

• Our 16 color pigments meet the VOC emission standards as defined by the European Union’s norms and offer a wide range of colors closely reproducing regular painting products.

Volatile Organic Components regroup a large number of gas molecules of both natural and human origins. They travel more or less from their place of emission depending on their volatility.

Natural V.O.C emissions (mostly from plants) represent 90% of the emission at the planet’s level. Nonetheless, human emissions rise in industrial area and become more important than natural emissions.

In Europe, paints are responsible for 3% of the V.O.C of human origin. V.O.C component are mostly found in solvent based products but, to a lesser extent, in water based products as well.

Ecolabel is a European environmental label established in 1992 and overseen by a committee endorsed by the European Union. Industrial, consumers and environmental protections groups representants make of the certifying committee.

The label approval procedure is based on a global approach of the product and analyses the entire product’s life cycle, from it conception, recycling or disposal to its fabrication and components.

All the products labeled with the “flower” have therefore been certified by an independent agency to meet all the tight standards concerning the product’s performance, environmental impact throughout its life.
